Obituary
Wilma Jane "Spud" Link, 85, of Pierson, IL, died 10:10 PM, Monday, July 10, 2006 at the Arthur Home, Arthur, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with the Rev. Veronica Walsh-Don officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.
Mrs. Link was born December 21, 1920 in Pierson, IL the daughter of Frank and Lola Haywood Thompson. She married Eugene Link on October 11, 1940 in Bowling Green, Missouri. He preceded her in death June 10, 2001.
Survivors include a niece, whom Wilma raised: Beverly McDade and husband: Willie of Atwood, IL; 6 Foster Grandchildren and several Great-Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 Brother, 1 Sister and a Foster Son.
Mrs. Link was a member of the United Church of Atwood. She was a former postmaster of Pierson, IL. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and fishing.
