Wilma Eileen Knorr, 81, of Mattoon, formerly of Arthur, Decatur, and Floral City, Florida, died at 1:45 AM Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Mattoon Health Care Center.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Arthur Cemetery with Rev. Leroy Allison officiating. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, assisted the family with arrangements.
Wilma was born October 17, 1927 in Arthur, the daughter of Burgess and Mary Mae Sexton Harden. She married William "Bill" Knorr in Decatur on Oct. 16, 1948; he preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 2006.
Survivors include 3 sisters, Betty Frye of Indianapolis, Indiana; Marilyn (Gary) Wright of Merrill, Wisconsin; Sharon (Roger) Bullock of Mattoon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 brother-in-law.
Wilma was formerly employed at Mueller Company in Decatur and A.W. Cash Valve Company, Decatur. After retiring, she and Bill moved to Florida to enjoy the sunshine. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, and spending time with special friends.
