Wilma J. Kerschner, 81, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 9:35 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at her residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ivesdale, IL with Father Patrick Riordan as celebrant.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL
Mrs. Kerschner was born on October 12, 1933 in Flippin, KY, the daughter of Luther and Ova Davis Good. She married Edward E. Kerschner. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1998.
Survivors include her son: Denny Kerschner of Atwood, daughter: Teena (Mark) Woscek of Eagle River, AK, grandchildren: Kody and Brayden Kerschner, Jason (Bethany) Woscek and Jennifer Chavesta, brothers: Wilfred (Betty) Good of Urbana and Gerald (Bev) Good of Arcola, sisters: Wanda (Terry) Shields of Kemp and Donna (Tim) Sisk of Fripp Island, NC
She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Kenny Kerschner, a brother and 3 sisters.
Wilma was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ivesdale, IL.
She formerly worked as a custodian and cook at the Atwood-Hammond Grade School and also provided daycare in her home. Wilma was an excellent seamstress and she enjoyed crocheting baby blankets and giving them to newborns.
