William A. Waggle, 78, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 10:30 am, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, Tuscola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside rites will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL

Mr. Waggle was born on February 6, 1933 in Newman, IL, the son of Elmer L. and Mildred T. Bennett Waggle. He married Jane Eads on September 18, 1956 in Newman, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include: 1 son: Bob (Liz) Waggle of Villa Grove, IL, 3 daughters: Nita (Rod) Bachman of Mahomet, IL, Ann (Tom) Kite of Spring City, TN, Carol Waggle of Villa Grove, IL, 1 sister: Alma Naive of Villa Grove, IL, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill was a retired truck driver, having driven for Ecoff and J.R. Schugel Trucking Companies. After his retirement, he worked at Westridge Ag Services. He was a faithful member of the Tuscola First Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Mahomet.

Bill was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the Tommy Martin VFW Post #10009. He enjoyed listening to southern gospel music.
