Obituary
William R. "Billy" Wolverton, 69, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 11:17 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Masonic Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., EST, Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at the Highland Lawn Cemetery, Terre Haute, IN with military graveside rites accorded.
Bill was born on September 15, 1943 in Brazil, IN, the son of Robert W. and Virginia L. Siepman Wolverton. He married Niceta J. Stevens Nihiser on December 21, 1992 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Tuscola, 2 step-children: Richard Nihiser of Tuscola, and Robin Nihiser of Pierre, SD
Bill retired from Ferguson Motor Sales in Tuscola, where he worked for 27 years. He was a US Army Veteran. Bill was a member of the Tuscola Masonic Lodge #332, AF & AM and the Tuscola Moose Lodge. Bill was an avid sports fan, especially a fan of the Fighting Illini.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
