William Lawrence "Larry" Alexander, 67, of Arcola, died at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Rev. Jess Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Larry was born February 22, 1950 in Tuscola, the son of William "Bill" and Mildred Chumbley Alexander. He married Glenda Stevens in Arthur on April 8, 1977.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Alexander of Arcola; son, Kevin (Beckie) Alexander of Humboldt; daughter, Kathy (Roger) Alexander of Bloomington; grandson, Steve Alexander of Virden; granddaugher, Shania Alexander of Humboldt; great granddaughter, Brooke Alexander of Lovington; great grandson, Britain Alexander of Virden; sisters, Wilma (Jim) Goodwin of Paris; and Wanda (Larry) Melton of Arthur. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Rhonda Kay Alexander.

Larry worked for Kraft Foods in Champaign for 35 years. He loved to fish, race stock cars, and spend time out in the woods. He especially loved his family and extended family.
