William A. Kamm, 105, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 12:15 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Arthur Home, Arthur, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with Rev. Michael Drake officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with military graveside rites accorded will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.
Bill was born on December 11, 1907 in Atwood, IL, the son of John Adam and Maude Shonkwiler Kamm. He married Pearl A. Woolverton on August 15, 1928. She preceded him in death on February 29, 2000.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Memorials are suggested to the United Church of Atwood.
Bill was a retired US Postal Service rural letter carrier. He was a member of the United Church of Atwood, James Reeder American Legion Post #770, Rural Letter Carriers Association, Arizona Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame, 700 Bowling Club of America and the Association of Aviation Ordnancemen.
Bill served his country as a member of the US Navy during World War II.
He enjoyed reading, bowling and spending time with his friends and extended family members.
