William Robert "Bob" Allen, 88, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 11:45 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola, IL with Rev. Patty Johansen officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM on Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Allen was born on March 21, 1920 in Portland, OR, the son of Sion B. and Hallie L. Baker Allen. He married Marjorie "June" Creviston on May 5, 1945 in Portland, OR. She survives.

Other survivors include: 2 Sons: James R. Allen of Marietta, GA, Robert B. Allen of Orland Park, IL, 2 Daughters: Janice R. Crawford of Oswego, IL, Leone L. Tingle of Locust Grove, GA, 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Sister: Elizabeth Coulson of Portland, OR

He was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 Sister.

Mr. Allen was an electrician for USI Quantum Chemical Company in Tuscola for 20 years. He retired from the University of Illinois where he also worked as a electrician. He was a member of the IBEW union. He was a member of the former First Presbyterian Church of Tuscola. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II.
