William H. "Bill" Ulbricht, 61, of Atwood, IL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL, with his family by his side.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Hammond Missionary Baptist Church, Hammond, IL, with Rev. Glenn Baker officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL with military graveside rites accorded. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Bill was born on November 1, 1955 in Evansville, IN, the son of Billy I. Ulbricht and Anna K. Ulbricht Blaha. He married Nancy J. Davis on June 21, 1985 in Hammond, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include 3 sons: Jim (Katatra) Arnett, Greg (Jessica Tidwell) Arnett and Evan Ulbricht all of Atwood, 4 grandchildren: Jazmine, Preston, Zakk and Elizabeth, brother: Charles (Debbie) Ulbricht of Decatur, 2 sisters: Jane (Gary) Tohill of Hammond and Joyce Lane of Ft. Wright, KY, step-father: Jack Blaha of Amana, IA, 2 step-brothers and 3 step-sisters, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents and brother: Michael Ulbricht.

Bill retired from Fluor Engineering in March 2016. He graduated from Atwood-Hammond High School in 1973 and he served his country in the US Navy.

He was a member of the Hammond Missionary Baptist Church. Bill was an Indy and NASCAR racing fan. He enjoyed motorcycles, traveling, going to Disney World, playing guitar and he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Memorials are suggested to the Hammond Missionary Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
