Wayne Russell Penny, 65, of Tuscola, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 25, 2023 at his residence.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL

Wayne was born on January 22, 1958 in Peoria, IL, the son of Merle and Catherine Fish Penny. He married Stacey S. Barr on November 18, 2010 in Tuscola. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters: Casey (Lindsey) Beyers-Penny and Meagan Penny, grandson: Spencer Rashid and granddaughters: Nico Barr, Adaleigh Penny, and Lily Barr.  stepsons: Justin Barr, Jerad (Cassie) Barr and Jacob Barr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son: Zachary Ryan Penny.

Wayne was a jack of all trades. He always had a project going on. Wayne enjoyed remodeling homes and woodworking. He worked as an auto mechanic at Kirby Firestone, Tuscola True Value, Bob's Super Service and Tuscola Do-It Best. He always enjoyed making sure his customers' needs were taken care of. Wayne was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
