Wanda R. Vestal, 86, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 10:10 p.m. December 3, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Ted Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery, Kansas, IL.

Mrs. Vestal was born June 15, 1930 in Oakland, Il the daughter of Gordon and Mable Conley Wass. She married Kenneth Vestal, Sr on January 10, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2010.

She is survived by her son: Kenneth Vestal, Jr of Tuscola, IL; granddaughters: Nicole Nelsen of Tuscola; Crystal (Tucker) Knowles of Bement, IL and Andrea Quinn of Mansfield, IL; 4 great-granddaughters: Madison Corum, Zoie Nelsen, Alexis and Trinity Lane; 2 great-grandsons: Wesley and Zachary Knowles and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Christie and a sister: Louise Kimmitt.

Wanda was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church. She traveled the world, going to Paris, London, Rome and all over the United States. She traveled summers with her granddaughters while helping raise them. Wanda loved hosting big family holiday gatherings and neighborhood get togethers.
