Wanda M. Still, 88, of Arcola, died at 1:00 AM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at the Arcola Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2015 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Pastor Bill Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.

Wanda was born June 27, 1927 in Douglas County, the daughter of Floyd I. and Nell Duncan Miller. She married Melvin M. Still in Filson on January 1, 1947.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Still of Arcola; 2 daughters, Linda (Clay) Edwards of Normal; Cindy Ervin of Effingham; 3 grandsons, Steven Lee Ervin of Chicago; Michael J. Ervin of Effingham; Kelsey D. Still of Atwood; 2 great granddaughters, Aria Ervin, and Izabella "Bella" Still. She was preceded in death by her son, Doug; granddaughter, Chelsea; and sister, Alice George.

Wanda had worked as a telephone operator in Arcola, Arcola We Care for 10 years, and Arrol's Drug Store. She was a member of the Arcola Free Methodist Church, where she served on the Church Board for over 25 years. She also was the church pianist at the Arcola Free Methodist Church as well as the Filson Methodist Church until it closed. She was a gifted musician as she "played by ear" and read music. She was a member of the WCTU.
