Wanda Darlene Melton, 74, of Arthur, formerly of Arcola, died at 11:41 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at her residence in Arthur.

Wanda was born May 6, 1947 in Tuscola, the daughter of William and Mildred Chumbley Alexander. She married Larry Melton in Arcola on Sept. 7, 1967.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Melton of Arthur; sons, Chester (Jennifer) Melton of Ridgeville, S. Carolina; Chad (Shawna) Melton of Arcola; sister, Wilma (Jim) Goodwin of Paris; grandchildren, Grant, Ellie, Colten, and Delaney Melton. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Alexander.

Wanda was a graduate of Arcola High School Class of 1965. After attending Cosmetology School, she worked as a hair dresser.
