Obituary
Vivian M. Starkey, 91, of Sullivan, IL, formerly of Atwood, IL, died at 2:38 A.M., Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Arthur Home, Arthur, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with Dr. R.J. "Jay" Adrain officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery, Urbana, Illinois.
Mrs. Starkey was born on November 12, 1914 in Winona, IL, the daughter of Luther and Irene Peebles Selle. She married Henry Starkey on December 21, 1957 in Newton, IL. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1959.
Survivors include: 1 Brother: Joe Selle of Decatur, IL, 2 Sisters: Irene Peery of Miami, OK, Marjorie Hixson of Bethany, IL, Many Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by her Parents, 6 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association
Mrs. Starkey retired from the Commercial Bank of Champaign, IL., where she worked as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Starkey was an avid gardener, bible scholar, history buff and Illini fan. She had lived in Atwood for 31 years prior to moving to the nursing home.
