Virginia Ruth Morris, 89, of Arthur, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the Arthur Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Arthur with Pastor John Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Virginia was born June 10, 1928 in rural Casey. She is the daughter of Forrest and Grace Erwin Perisho.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Ruth Colleen (Russell) Arbuckle of Sonoita, Arizona; Nancy Guthridge of Lovington; 3 sisters, Doris Duval of Greenup; Mary (Bill) Breidenbaugh of Otwell, Indiana; Norma Keys of Shoal, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Morris; daughter, Lois Eileen White; son-in-law, Jim Guthridge; grandson, Steven Guthridge; 1 brother, Herbert Perisho; and 3 sisters, Beulah Melton, Bernice Melton, and Wanetia Watters.

Virginia graduated from Casey High School Class of 1946. She worked at Progress Industries in the casket division for 17 years and later retired from Kraft Foods.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Arthur and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 56 years.
