Virginia Kathryn Cornwell,89, of Arthur, died at 5:25 AM Friday, April 8, 2016 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, with Rev. Bruce Weiman officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Virginia was born May 8, 1926 in Garrett Twp. the daughter of Roy and Amelia Agge Blaase. She married Donald Dale Cornwell on March 14, 1945 in Gulfport, Mississippi; he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2007.
She is survived by 2 sons, Gary (Linda) Cornwell of Arthur; Reid Cornwell of Sullivan; grandchildren, Dirk Cornwell and fiancee Jan Hanner of Tuscola; Lindsay Cornwell of Decatur; Curtis (Morgan) Cornwell of Mattoon; Vanessa Cornwell of Decatur; great grandchildren, Mia, Stella, and Trevin Cornwell. She was preceded in her brother, Roger Blaase.
Virginia was a member of the Arthur United Methodist Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Arthur Home, 423 Eberhardt Drive, Arthur, IL 61911.
