Victor "Vic" Jinkins, 57, of Arcola, died at 2:14 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2020 at his residence in Arcola.

He was born September 13, 1962 in Mattoon, the son of Virtis and Sandra Sallee Jinkins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Arcola Masonic Building with visitation from 1:00-3:00 pm. Inurnment will follow in the Arcola Cemetery.

Survivors include his best friend and partner, Debbie Fitts of Arcola; 4 children, Kyla (Josh) Childress of Mattoon; Jonathan Jinkins of Tuscola; Jerehmy (Terri) Vaughn of Arcola; Samantha (Larry) Brawner of Arcola; 6 grandkids, Ally, Trevor, Nick, Jerehmy Jr, Carson, Devyn, and Kaden; mother, Sandra Jinkins of Searcy, Arkansas; sister, Lydonna (Tom) Sullivan of Searcy, Arkansas; brother, Sam (Heidi) Jinkins of Naples, Florida; nephews, Bronson (Toria) Sullivan; Benjamin and Joshua Jinkins; and niece, Melissa Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his father.

Vic was a graduate of Neoga High School Class of 1981. He served in the Army National Guard where he was honorably discharged in 1986. He was a paramedic for Shrader Ambulance Service for over 27 years.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, is assisting the family with arrangements.
