Obituary
Verleta M. Gabbard, 60, of Camargo, IL, passed away on Saturday evening, June 16, 2018 at her residence.
Services celebrating her life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Duane Piercy officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Verleta was born September 27, 1957 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Charlotte L. Martin Donnals. She married Robert Gabbard. He survives.
Also surviving is her son: Jason (Stacy) Kamerer of Tolono, step-son: Tyler Gabbard, also surviving are: Mike Gabbard, Rick Gabbard, Lisa Funk and Shawnee Horton, very special niece: Teresa Donnals, grandchildren: Skylar Kamerer, Sierra Eaton, Ethan Kamerer, Shyenne Eaton, Emerson Kamerer, Kira Gabbard and Eliott Kamerer, great-grandson: Oliver Kamerer, brothers: Eugene and Patrick Donnals both of Sparta, sister: Betty Jo White of Mt. Pulaski and best friend: Linda Gabbard.
She was preceded in death by her sister: Rita Canull, brothers: Larry, Marvin, Robert and Kenneth "Junie" Donnals
Verleta worked as a CNA for 42 years at several area nursing homes, most recently at the Arthur Home.
Memorials are suggested to help pay for funeral expenses.
