Velma D. Dallas, 93, of Odin, formerly of Tuscola, passed away at 6:30 a.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Odin Health Care Center, Odin, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Pastor Mike Wilder officiating. Burial will be in the Cartwright Cemetery, rural Tuscola, IL.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Velma was born on February 7, 1930 in Charleston, IL, the daughter of Emery and Sylvia M. Walters Green. She married L. Eugene Dallas on March 22, 1946 in Garrett, IL. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2009.

Survivors include her sons: Wayne (Teena) Dallas of Bethany, IL and Roger (Lorie) Dallas of Benton, IL, 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 63 years, brother: Carl Green and sisters: Redyth Lindsey, Charlene Green and Betty Klein.

Velma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuscola.

She enjoyed going out to eat, visiting with others and watching western movies.
