Timothy G. Johnson, 66, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 7:35 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home, Mattoon, IL.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Tuscola First Christian Church, 100 East Church Street, Tuscola, IL.

Tim was born on January 11, 1953 in Valparaiso, IN, the son of Charles N. "Nash" and Mary E. Grimes Johnson. He married Christine L. Fuelling on April 30, 1977 in Harlan, IN. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Mary of Tuscola, children: Audrey Johnson and Luke Johnson both of Tuscola, Shawn (Danielle) Johnson of Bloomington, grandson: Ezekiel Johnson; brothers: Rev. Michael (Glenna) Johnson of Lafayette, IN, David Johnson of Tuscola; sisters: Deborah Davis of Tuscola, Abigail (Jack) Dowling of Effingham, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nash Johnson.

Tim worked for the US Post Office in Tuscola for 30 years before retirement. He was a member of the Tuscola First Christian Church. He graduated from St. Louis Christian College.

His family, extended family and the church were the most important things in his life. Tim loved studying and reading scriptures from the Bible and he enjoyed listening to music, reading and working on the computer.
