Thelma Bradshaw Bozarth, 89, of Tuscola, IL, died at 7:45 AM, Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the IOOF Cemetery, McLeansboro, IL. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Friday at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will also be held from 1-2 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church, 111 North Washington, McLeansboro, IL. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, McLeansboro, IL

Mrs. Bozarth was born on February 18, 1917 in Jackson County, near Gorham, IL, the daughter of William and Gertrude White Bradshaw. She married Charles M. Bozarth on June 14, 1952 in Gorham, IL. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2003.

Survivors include: 1 Son: Alan Charles Bozarth of Tuscola, IL, 1 Sister: Ruth Harris of East Alton, IL, Sister-In-Laws: Ruth Wood and husband: Dr. Eugene of Carbondale, IL, Edith Bozarth of Tuscola, IL

She was preceded in death by her Parents, 2 Brothers: Homer Bradshaw & Robert Bradshaw

Mrs. Bozarth was a graduate of Gorham Community High School and Southern Illinois University. She also attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, CO and Millikin University, Decatur, IL
She was an elementary teacher at Crain Rural School, Gorham Elementary School, Mary W. French School at Decatur, Chanute Air Base School at Rantoul, Fisher Elementary School, Lindop School in Broadview, and Booth School in Enfield, IL.

She was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church, Chapel Class and Mary Circle. She was a member of the Douglas County Homemakers Extension-Early Risers Unit, Douglas County and Illinois Retired Teachers Association.

Mrs. Bozarth enjoyed collecting cook books, flower and vegetable gardening, bird watching, cooking, reading and the family's German Sheperds over the years.
