Terry L. Berner, 63, of Arthur, IL passed away unexpectedly at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday morning, August 21, 2024 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, Mattoon, IL.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, IL.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Shrader Funeral Home, 431 South Vine Street, Arthur, IL.

Terry was born November 28, 1960 in Decatur, IL, the son of Ralph L. and Wilma L. Curry Berner.  He married Debra Winskill on May 26, 2007 in Bourbon, IL.  She survives.

Other survivors include his daughter: Ashley (Mike) Bodine of Arthur, step-son: Brennon Winskill of Arthur, step-daughters: Jordan (Cary) Hawkins of Hindsboro and Megan Winskill of Atwood, 7 grandchildren, sister: Mary (Larry) Davis of Mattoon and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Kenneth Berner.

Terry enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family. He enjoyed drag racing; John Force was his favorite driver.  Terry worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Arthur and for many years at Arthur Farm Pride (Birkey's Farm Store).  After his retirement, he found joy in being a driver for the Amish in the Arthur area.
