Sylvia Pauline Steiner, 91, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 11:16 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. No Visitation will be held. Private Family Internment Services will be held at the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL. The Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL has been entrusted by the family with the arrangements.

Mrs. Steiner was born on October 6, 1917 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Roman and Sophie Pincus Gore. She married Dr. Walter G. Steiner on January 9, 1944 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2006.

Survivors include: 2 Sons: Walter G. Steiner of Schererville, IN, James R. Steiner of Sparta, IL, 1 Daughter: Erica P. Steiner of Montgomery Village, MD, 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Brother: Richard Gore of Elk Grove Village, IL,

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Leonard Gore

Mrs. Steiner was a homemaker and a member of the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church. She and her husband moved to Tuscola in 1951. She enjoyed her home and her family.
