Suzy Bean went to heaven on June 7, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Tony Crouch officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Suzy was born March 17, 1940 to Rev. William Donald and Opal Marceil Hartley in Muncie, IN. She married William Ronald Bean on March 16, 1991. He survives.

Also surviving are her son: Jeff (Elaine) McCormick of Washington Courthouse, OH, daughters: Pam Dutton of Tuscola, Angie (Glenn) Gentry of Arcola, Dr. Kandice (Tim) Norrell of North Port, FL, Shawna (Todd) Bosch and Tricia Scott both of Tuscola. She is also survived by her brother: Joe Hartley, sisters: Pat (Kenny) Lehman of Muncie, IN, Bonita (Arvel) Posey of Muncie, IN and Janet (Vernon) Reffitt of Valrico, FL, sister-in-law: Jackie Hartley of Muncie, IN, mother-in-law: Marcella Bean of Tuscola, brothers-in-law: Larry (Colleen) Bean and Richard Bean all of Tuscola. Suzy was a very proud grandma to 15 and great-grandma to 7.

Suzy was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law: William Bean, son-in-law: Craig Dutton, brothers: Gene and Bob Hartley, sister: Ruby (Bobby) Nichols and sister-in-law: Geneva Hartley.

Suzy was a self-employed hairdresser for many years in Arcola and Tuscola, she leaves behind may friends. She was a fabulous cook and her very profound sweet tooth led to her expertise with all desserts, especially cakes. She was a kind and sweet soul and will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Harbor Light Hospice or the donor's choice.
