Shirley was born on January 7, 1931 in Casey, IL to Parents Charles A. and Lucinda A Weaver. She had one sister, Juney A. Rowe (deceased) and two brothers: Charles R. Weaver and Danny Weaver both deceased.
She was a graduate of Casey High School and worked for the Marathon Oil Company after graduation. In 1951 she married Phillip Rowe of Greenup, IL ( deceased 1976) They moved to Tuscola, IL in 1953.
Shirley was a Dietary Aide at Jarman Hospital for many years. Cooking and baking for family was her favorite activity. She was famous for her Chocolate cake and Chocolate Chip Cookies. She was an avid painter and enjoyed painting landscapes in her free time. She collected Birds, Butterflies and Cookbooks. She was an active member of the Tuscola Methodist Church and bible study.
Shirley leaves behind daughters Sara (Chuck) Holmes and Susan (Greg) Ford. Shirley's nickname was Grandma Pud and she was loved deeply by all those that knew her. Her grandchildren are: Summer (Eric) Phillips, Erica (Mike) Kremitzki, Charles (Dawn) Holmes, Derek (Ashley) Holmes, Rachel (Mike) Ragan and Amy O'Dell. Her beloved great grandchildren are: Eric Phillips II, Miah Phillips, Sara Kremitzki, Sophia Kremitzki, Quinn Autumn Holmes and Renae Ragan, Elenore Ragan, Ava Ford and Dallas Ford.
Shirley was generous, loving and always had a smile and kind word for everyone. When asked if she had any words of wisdom at age 85 she said, " Live well, laugh often, and love deeply".

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
