Shirley K. Goad, 78, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Leesville, LA, passed away at 6:30 P.M. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL
Family Services will be held at a later date at the Fairland Cemetery, east of Villa Grove, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Goad was born on May 11, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of George E. and Florence R. Cassell Kirk. She married Charles Elmo Goad on May 12, 1961. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1996.
Survivors include: 1 Son: Charles Goad of Indianapolis, IN, 2 Daughters: Dawn McCullough of Decatur, IL, Rebecca Fountain of Tempe, AZ, 1 Brother: William E. Kirk of Arroyo Grande, CA, 2 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild
She was preceded in death by her parents and son: Thomas William Goad
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association, 3000 Kelly Lane, Springfield, IL 62707
Shirley was a homemaker. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and the VFW Auxiliary.
