Sharon A. Rogers, 85, of Camargo, Illinois, passed away on Sunday afternoon, January 11, 2026, at Newman Nursing and Rehab in Newman, Illinois.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
Born on December 27, 1940, in Tuscola, Sharon was the daughter of Sherwood H. and Nina Grace Clevenger Day. She married William H. “Bill” Rogers, Jr., on April 23, 1960, in Tuscola, and together they shared many wonderful years. He survives.
Sharon is also survived by her son, Kirk (Theresa) Rogers of Camargo, granddaughter Lexi (Derek) Taylor of Arthur, and step-grandson Brad (Kara) Busboom of Michigan, two step-great-grandchildren, James and Johnna Busboom and a great-grandson to be born in the spring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Kimberly Ann Busboom, and a sister.
A graduate of Atwood-Hammond High School in 1958, Sharon was a remarkable "Jack of All Trades." Throughout her career, she held various positions including telephone operator, school cook, and she worked with DeKalb Seed Company. She found joy in her time at the flower shop, as well as in her roles in marketing at WLBH, WMCI, Rockome Gardens, and Sam’s Club.
Sharon served her community proudly as a member of the Douglas County Board from 1994 to 1998. She had a passion for gardening, enjoyed riding in her convertible, and cherished her winters spent in Florida.
