Sandra Ann Seaman Grabowski, 61, of Carbondale, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at her home in Carbondale.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 am on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at First Christian Church in Arcola, IL. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Shrader Funeral Home will be handling the Arcola arrangements.

Sandy Grabowski was born on February 3, 1951, a daughter of George W. and Anna P. Seaman of Arcola.

Sandy is survived by two sons, Andy (Mandy) Grabowski of Chicago; Adam Grabowski of Carbondale; daughter, Nikki Grabowski of Carbondale; parents, George W. and Anna Seaman of Arcola; three sisters, Brenda (Larry) Miller of Estero, FL; Gwen Seaman of Champaign; Jan (Peter) Stortz of Palmer, AK; two brothers, George E. Seaman of Arcola; and Kent Seaman of Lexington, KY.

Sandy graduated from MacArthur High School, 1969, in Decatur, IL, and received a Bachelors Degree in Teaching Business Education from Winona State University. She worked as an executive secretary to a Hospital Administrator for several years before staying home to raise 3 children.

Sandy was active in her children's school activities and their many sports activities, never missing a soccer or softball game. She was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale.

Sandy was a daughter and mother dearly loved by her family and will be missed deeply by those remaining. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Carbondale, IL, or the charity of your choice.
