Sally S. Heckler, 63, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 12:30 pm, Sunday, March 28, 2010 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Don Gerkin officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL

Sally was born on November 8, 1946 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Wilma Wilson Brandon. She married Dennis Ray Heckler on November 25, 1966 in Urbana, IL. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2009.

Survivors include her mother of Urbana, IL, 2 Sons: Brandon and wife: Amy of Tuscola, Cameron of Peterson AFB, CO, 3 Sisters: JoAnn (Jerry) Wallace of Homer, Jean (Ralph) Baer of Trenton, and Jane (Robert) Scott of Strong, AR, 6 Grandchildren: Alexis, Blake, Kodi, Brandi, Kenzi and Kayli, In-Laws: John J. and Thelma A. Heckler of Mt. Zion, Sister-In-Law: Debby (Kevin) Reeder of Waukesha, WI, Very Good Friends: Joyce and Barry Berg, numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

Sally graduated from Homer High School, Homer, IL. She and her husband owned and operated Heckler Tom's Sales for 35 years. She was a former school bus driver for Eagan Bus Service. Sally and Dennis started the Corvette Club of Illinois in 1970.
