Ruth G. Wiesener, 97, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Heartland Care Center, Decatur, IL.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Patty Johansen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Mrs. Wiesener was born June 5, 1916 in Tuscola, IL the daughter of Harry C. and Anna Mary Winship Haines. She married Lonnie Turner on December 14, 1936. He preceded her in death on September 21, 1971. She later married Boyd Wiesener on June 12, 1987. He preceded her in death on February 9, 2006.

Survivors include her son: Curt Turner and wife: Phyllis of Decatur; a step-son: Jim Wiesener of Tuscola; 2 grandchildren: Deborah (Drew) Johnson of Decatur and Aaron (Michelle) Turner of Elmhurst; 5 step-grandchildren: Amy Rogers, Jenny (Bart) Brewer, Carrie Wiesener, Jeff Wiesener and Kelli (Rob) Manning; 4 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, step-son: Burt Wiesener, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Ruth graduated from the Tuscola Community High School in 1934. She was a homemaker and salesperson at J.R. North Furniture Store in Tuscola, IL for 14 years. She was an active member of Jarman Hospital Auxiliary and a lifelong member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church.
