Ruth (Benner) Randall Fenner Williams, 88, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 2:21 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Burial will follow in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. on Friday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Ruth was born on February 5, 1929 in Douglas County, IL, the daughter of Ora Albert and Mamie Alice Roderick Benner. She married Orville Randall, Jr. in 1949: Lester I. Fenner in 1989 and James Williams in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 husbands, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include her daughters: Ronda (Ken) Schumacher of Tulsa, OK: Danita (Ted) Lust of Tuscola, IL: Melissa (Joel) Stiger of Weldon, IL: Alora (Tim) Murphy of Atwood, IL and Bretta (Erik) Hammerstrom of Arlington Heights, IL: 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Lake Fork United Church of Christ or to the Douglas County Animal Shelter.

Ruth was a lifetime resident of Atwood. She was a hairdresser for 50 years. She loved to travel and camped in every state except Hawaii as well as all of the providences in Canada. Ruth loved crafting and most recently loved making jewelry to share with others. She loved her family, especially her girls. She was a member of the Lake Fork United Church of Christ, rural Atwood, IL
