Ruth Marsh, 83, Wausau, WI, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Hammond Cemetery, Hammond, IL following the services.

Ruth was born April 16, 1925 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to Lloyd Todd Sr. & Ruby Lee Brown Todd. She was one of ten Todd children. She married Thomas Wayne Marsh on August 3, 1942 in Marlow, OK and was a homemaker for many years in and around Decatur, Illinois. She loved gardening, crocheting, and keeping up with her children and grandchildren's activities. Ruth also worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital Housekeeping Department, where in addition to her job she was known for providing encouragement to the elderly and other critical patients.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son Garry Wayne Marsh, sisters Maudell Barnhouse, Vermell Judy Gibby, Martha Diane Todd, brother Melton Lee Todd, and granddaughters Donna and Suzanne Weis.

Survivors include sisters: Betty Jo Fiegiel, Alta Mae Todd, Dorothy Kate Harmon; brothers: Lloyd Todd Jr. and Floyd Todd; children: daughter Patricia Weis & her husband Donald, Eudora, KS; son William R. Marsh & his wife Donna of Lakewood, CA; and son James W. Marsh and his wife Lori of Wausau, Wisconsin.

Surviving grandchildren: Donald Weis, Christina Weis, Dan Marsh, Gary Marsh, Thomas Marsh and Jennifer Marsh.

Surviving great grandchildren: Allison Weis, Ashley Weis, Ethan Weis, Jessica Marsh, Austin Marsh and Billy Marsh.
