Ruth Jean Rieman Dyer, 73, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 8:15 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Arcola Health Care Center, Arcola, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 600 East Northline Road, Tuscola , IL, with Rev. Jason Braaten officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL is handling the arrangements.

Ruth was born on January 8, 1939 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Carl and Edith Coslet Rieman. She married Willie Bee Dyer on October 6, 1956 in Arthur, IL. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1991.

Survivors include her children: Jon Dyer and wife: Earline of O'Fallon, IL, Andrea Kleiboeker and husband: Steve of Atwood, IL, Jim Dyer and wife: Carolyn of Tuscola, IL, Joe Dyer and wife: Linda of Atwood, IL and Amy Lee and husband: Jeff of Atwood, IL, grandchildren: Ryan, Stephanie, Travis, Cassie, Lacey, Hunter, Josh and Jake, step-grandchildren: Tia and Justin, great-grandchildren: Cruz, Phoenix, Landon, Cannon and Lila, step-great-grandchildren: Jillian, Cody, Parker and Avery, sister: Carol Rieman Clark and husband: Don of Urbana, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Donald and Charles Rieman.

Ruth was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tuscola, IL and the American Legion Auxiliary of Atwood, IL. She retired from Schrock Cabinets in Arthur, IL. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, bingo and her Card Club gals.
