Ruth Ann Cothron, 81, of Atwood, IL, passed away on Thursday evening, July 21, 2022 at her residence with her boys at her side.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL with Rev. Mike Drake officiating. Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL is handling the arrangements.

She was born on December 28, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Alfred Jacob "Jake" and Marian Gannaway Kamm. She married Clarence Wayne Cothron on November 6, 1960 in Atwood, IL. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2021.

Survivors include her sons: Giles Franklin Cothron of Byron, GA and Jacob Allen Cothron of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren: Brittney, Christopher and Holly, brother: Adrian J. Kamm and sister: Mary Beideck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son and infant daughter.

Memorials are suggested to United Church of Atwood, Wounded Warriors or any animal shelter of the donor's choice.

Ruth Ann retired from MasterBrand in Arthur, IL. She was a member of the United Church of Atwood.
