Obituary
Roy Junior Rogers, 68, of Arcola, died at 6:36 AM Monday, April 26, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center near Mattoon.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust Street, Arcola, with Pastor Jess Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM on Wednesday.
Roy was born October 10, 1941 in Galatin, Tennessee, the son of George and Lou Elsie Casteel Rogers. He married Jeannie Stewart in Arcola on Feb. 14, 1965.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannie Rogers of Arcola; 3 daughters, Tracie Schrock of Hindsboro, Toni Wilkerson of Florida, Trena Cameron of Mattoon; 1 brother, Glenn Rogers of Arcola; 1 sister, Bonnie Tripp of Tuscola; 10 grandchilden; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Roy worked at Warren Bros. Broom Company in Arcola and then at The Thomas Monahan Company, Handles Division, for 25 years.
