Ronnie L. Jones, 62, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 11:13 a.m., Monday, June 19, 2017 at his mother's home.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with David L. Jones officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Arcola Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Ronnie (Ron) was born November 4, 1954 in Charleston, IL, the son of Edward L. and Betty L. Emberton Jones. He graduated from Tuscola Community High School in 1972. He married Rita S. Ghere on December 16, 1972 in Arcola, IL. She preceded him in death on March 25, 1998.
Ron served in the US Air Force from 1972 – 1976. He worked for many years as a truck driver for Ron Smith Trucking, JM Jones and for Staley Concrete Company. Fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren were Ron's greatest pleasures.

He is survived by his sons: Jeremy (Angi) Jones of East Dubuque and Joshua (Ashley) Jones of Villa Grove, mother: Betty Jones of Tuscola, brother: David (Jane) Jones of Tuscola, 7 grandchildren: MaryRose, Rita, Cecilia, Anastasia and Maximilian of East Dubuque, Callie and Wren of Villa Grove, several nieces and nephews and special friend: Pam Harless of Urbana.

Ron's wife Rita, father Ed, and nephew Timothy all preceded him in death.

Memorials in Ronnie's name can be made to further his grandchildren's education in care of Joshua Jones, 1 Hancock Court, Villa Grove, IL 61956
