Obituary

Roger Lynn Galloway, 69, went to meet the Lord, when he passed away unexpectedly on Sunday May 26th, 2024, in Washington, IN. Roger lived a life marked by love, dedication, and cherished moments.

Roger was born on April 30th, 1955, in Madisonville, KY to James K. Galloway and Dorothy M. Butler, who preceded him in death.

Roger married the love of his life, Terry Sue Hausman of Tuscola, IL on June 27, 1975. Their nearly five decades of marriage were a testament to their deep bond and unwavering support for each other. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising three wonderful children.

Roger is survived by his sons, Marc Galloway (Jeff Hall) of St Louis, MO and Neal Galloway (Kelly) of Sellersburg, IN, and his daughter, Tara Galloway Holder of Evansville, IN. He was the proud grandfather to Wyatt and Calum Holder and Will Galloway, who brought boundless joy and light into his life.

Roger is also survived by his 3 sisters: Jamie (Ronnie) Miller of Brandon, MS, Linda (Paul) Tiddens of Caldwell, ID and Carolyn (Vaughn) McKeeth of Harrisville, UT.

Roger's life was filled with love, laughter, and a commitment to those he held dear. His family and his immense circle of friends will remember him for his kind heart, generous spirit, and the countless memories he created with those around him.

Roger was a Tuscola High School graduate of the Class of 1973. He spent many years as a dedicated miner at Ziegler Coal, Black Beauty, Vulcan Material, and Joy Manufacturing.  His hard work and commitment were well respected by his colleagues.

A visitation celebrating Roger's life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the funeral home with graveside services following at the Tuscola Township Cemetery.

Roger, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
