Roger W. Chenoweth, 70, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 1:55 A.M., Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. John Stewart and Jerry Reeder officiating. No Visitation will be held. Burial will be in the Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood, IL.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 5:00 P.M., Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Kaskaskia Country Club, 450 East County Road 300 North, Arcola, IL. Casual Attire is requested.

Roger was born on June 5, 1938 in Atwood, IL, the son of Paul "Mickey" and Blanche P. Catlin Chenoweth. He married Debbie Reeder Dial on December 31, 1990 in Atwood, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughters: Joan Chenoweth of Tolono, IL, Beth Rutledge and husband: Brian of Broadlands, IL, Paula Von Lanken and husband: Curtis of Tuscola, IL, Dawn Meredith and husband: Jason of Tuscola, IL, Darcy Sementi and husband: Lenny of Tuscola, IL, Denise Jones and husband: Jeff of Atwood, IL, Sisters: Sue Willoughby of Arthur, IL, Nancy Kramer of Decatur, IL, 12 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson: Preston Von Lanken

Roger was a licensed plumber and heavy equipment operator. He retired from the Village of Atwood, where he served as the Superintendent of Streets and Alleys. He was a member of the Lake Fork United Church of Christ, Tuscola Moose Lodge and the Kaskaskia Country Club. He loved to golf, watch NASCAR, work with stained glass and spend time with his grandchildren.
