Roger J. "Speedy" Carter, 61, of Atwood, IL passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his home.

Per his wishes no services will be held.  Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mr. Carter was born June 20, 1960 in Decatur, IL, the son of Jack F. and Tillie Mast Carter.

He is survived by his siblings: Virginia "Jennie" (Randy) Dickerson of Arthur, Jack Carter of Sullivan, Barb Carter of Altamont, Billie Jo Fitzpatrick of San Antonio, TX, Bobbie Jo (Gary) Stutzman of Arthur, best friend: Roger Howard and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his father: Jack F. Carter, mother: Tillie Mast Sanders, step-father: William Sanders and infant brother: Duane Carter.

He enjoyed fishing and being with his family and friends.

Memorial contributions will be used to help pay for funeral expenses.
