Robert D. "Trav" Travis, 65, of rural Tuscola, IL, passed away at 12:12 P.M., Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, IL, with the Rev. Bruce Baumberger officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 P.M., Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Mr. Travis was born on June 2, 1941in Tuscola, IL, the son of Leo and Alberta M. Hasler Travis. He married Nancy Biggs on November 11, 1961 in Tuscola, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include: His mother of Tuscola, IL, 3 Daughters: Tammi Kroenung and husband: Tracy of Tuscola, IL, Toni Little and husband: Jon of Tuscola, IL, Ticia Kresin and husband: Lance of Tuscola, IL, 1 Sister: Phyllis Williams and husband: Larry of Tuscola, IL, 9 Grandchildren: Klint Kroenung , Kaela Kroenung, Luke Hanke, Chase Little, Chance Little, Delani Little, Dakota Little, Kameryn & Lucas Kresin.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorials are suggested to the Tuscola United Methodist Church, 901 North Prairie Street, Tuscola, IL 61953 or the Tuscola Community High School, Robert Travis Memorial Fund, 500 South Prairie Street, Tuscola, IL 61953, funds will be distributed equally for the benefit of the Agriculture Program, Scholastic Programs and Athletic Programs.

Mr. Travis was a farmer. He was a member of the Tuscola United Methodist Church and the Tuscola Moose Lodge. He was a member of the Ducks Unlimited, Quail Unlimited and Pheasant's Forever. Mr. Travis served on the Tuscola School Board for 22 years, serving from 1978 - 1989 and from 1996 to the present. He served one term as school board president. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching his grandchildren.
