Robert J. Romine, 82, of rural Atwood, IL, died at 4:15 PM, Saturday, May 13, 2006 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the Lake Fork United Church of Christ, 345 North County Road 1475 East, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Conrad Heisner officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL. Burial will be in the Lake Fork Cemetery, rural Atwood, IL.

Mr. Romine was born on September 5, 1923 in rural Atwood, IL, the son of Frank M. and Ethel M. Wierman Romine. He married Rhea P. Hoff on September 2, 1945 in Garrett, IL. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Grandson: Matthew Romine, 1 Brother: Keith Romine, 2 Sisters: Kathleen Jurgens & Josephine Romine.

Mr. Romine was a retired farmer and he was the former owner/operator of the RJ Implement Company in Atwood, IL, which he operated from 1961 until 1992. He was a member of the Lake Fork United Church of Christ, where he served on several committees. He was a member of the Atwood Masonic Lodge #651, AF & AM. He was a member of the I & I Tractor Club and a member of the Atwood Lion's Club. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his many friends.
