Robert D. Perrin, 71, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 11:56 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Bob was born on November 22, 1944 to George Perrin and Donna (Essley) Perrin in Ashland, KY.

Bob attended elementary school in Ashland, KY and Tuscola, IL. He graduated from Tuscola Community High School in 1963. After graduating Bob served in the United States Air Force for four years from August 1963 until his discharge in August 1967. After his discharge he attended Parkland College in Champaign, IL where he earned an associate degree in electronics.

Bob was self-employed running a repair shop out of his home repairing lawn mowers and small appliances. He dearly loved genealogy exploring his family history. He also enjoyed going to auctions of all types and raising dachshunds.

Bob is survived by his brother Richard (Jackie) Perrin of Big Rapids, MI and sister Sandy Perrin of Atwood and special friend Jerry Jacobs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Rick (Karen) Perrin; Maria (Caleb) Paniamogan; Kevin (Nancy) Pouder; Mary (Danny) Dunlevy; and Tim Pouder.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents George and Donna Perrin and niece Deb Pouder.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL
