Obituary
Robert L. "Bob" Hausmann, 80, of Downs, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, passed away peacefully at the home of his daughter in Downs, IL, on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 12:45 P.M..
He was born on March 30, 1928 in Douglas County, IL, the son of Leo B. and Ella K. Kleiss Hausmann. He married Shirley J. English on April 21, 1949 in Tuscola, IL. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2006.
He is survived by his daughter:Vickie Lynn Strohl, Grandson: Scott Strohl and wife: Lisa, Grandson: Brian Strohl and wife: Sambath, Four Great-Grandchildren: Samantha, Colton, Caden and Logan Strohl, Four Sisters: Mary Ring, Pat O'Bryan and Dorothy Stirrett all of Tuscola, IL, Donna Stall of San Antonio, TX, and Three Brothers: Bud Hausmann and Jim Hausmann both of Tuscola, IL, and Dave Hausmann of Wagoner, OK.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother: Frank Hausmann, Two Sisters: Helen Chambers and Rosie Ashwill and Son-In-Law: Kenneth Strohl
Bob will be remembered as the friendly "Milk Man", having owned and operated the Sealtest Milk Company in Tuscola, IL, for many years. He sold the milk company in 1969 and in 1970 he was elected Sheriff of Douglas County, IL. After serving his four year term as sheriff, Bob and his wife moved to Lago Vista, TX, where he was employed at Castleberry Avionics. He retired from this position and he and his wife moved back to Tuscola to be near family and friends. Both Bob and Shirley were wonderful examples of sharing the love of Jesus that filled their lives. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, 201 East Van Allen Street, Tuscola, IL, with Father Barry Harmon as celebrant. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M., Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with a Vigil Service being held at 4:00 P.M.
Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery.
