Robert D. "Bob" Osborne, 76, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 8:12 pm, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Graveside Services with military rites accorded will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday at the Union Cemetery, Altamont, IL
Mr. Osborne was born on March 30, 1933 in Hammond, IL, the son of Isaac and Ruby Ferguson Osborne. He married Virginia R. Bandelow on August 8, 1953 in Altamont, IL. She survives.
Other survivors include his children: Ronnie Osborne and wife: Michelle of Altamont, Bradley Osborne and wife: Brenda of Atwood and Michelle Kaufman and husband: Rodney of Oreana, 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Earl "Skip" Osborne and Junior Osborne and a sister: Norma Osborne.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Bob was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tuscola, IL. He retired in 1991 from Quantum-USI Chemical Company in Tuscola, where he worked for 35 years as an electrician. Bob was a country & western dancer and instructor for several years. He loved to play 42, loved his lawn mowers and working on cars in his garage. Bob served his country as a member of the US Army.
