Robert H. "Bob" Douglas, 75, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 9:57 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with the Rev. Mike Drake officiating. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday.

Bob was born on May 15, 1937 in Coles County, IL, the son of Paul H. and Elizabeth M. Bailey Douglas. He married Cheryll L. Beckes on November 9, 1978 in Champaign, IL. She survives.

Other survivors include his son: Randy (Eileen) Douglas of Stormville, NY, daughter: Shari (Boyd) Taylor of Atwood, IL, step-sons: Steve (Jennifer) Wolter of Monticello, IL and Matt (Julie) Wolter of Mt. Zion, IL. grandchildren: Ryan, Sean and Luke Douglas, Shalie Taylor, Morgan, Gabrielle and Nicholas Wolter, Sevenia, Lainie and Ryan Wolter, sisters: Donna (Bob) Laughhunn of Mattoon, IL and Marjorie Walker of Peoria, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials are suggested to the United Church of Atwood.

Bob retired from Farm Service in Monticello, where he worked as a bulk fuel driver for over 35 years. He was a member of the United Church of Atwood and the Teamsters Union. Bob enjoyed working on his farm, visiting with people, traveling, babysitting and spending time with his grandchildren.
