Robert E. Beck, 54, of Pierson, IL, passed away at 4:18 A.M., Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL.

Funeral Services will be 10 A.M., Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL with the Rev. Eugene Worthy officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Friday, May 25, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.

Mr. Beck was born November 30, 1952 in Decatur, IL, the son of Jack Thomas and Darlene Speagle Beck. He married Rheba Harshbarger on March 21, 1976 in Pierson, IL.
She survives.

Other survivors include 4 children: Saprina Thomas and husband: Tony of Decatur, IL; Katatra Arnett and husband: Jim of Pierson, IL; Bobby Beck and wife: Erin of Atwood, IL; and John Beck of Pierson, IL; 3 Grandchildren: Jazmine and Preston Arnett of Pierson, IL and Sophia Thomas of Decatur, IL; 2 Brothers: Jack Beck and wife: Connie of Decatur, IL; Rick Beck and wife: Gloria of Decatur, IL; 3 Sisters: Debbie Bogle of Decatur, IL; Marilyn Grammer of Decatur, IL; and Carolyn Burcham of Decatur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was a member of IBEW Local #1991. He was an avid Chicago Cub fan, history buff and lover of music. Bob was also a ham radio operator. More than anything he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
