Richard M. "Rick" Wierman, 72, of Atwood, IL, passed away at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 66 East US Highway 36, Atwood, IL, with Rev. Mike Drake officiating. Burial will follow in the Mackville Cemetery, Atwood, IL.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rick was born on February 14, 1945 in Atwood, IL, the son of Ramon P. and Patricia Landgrebe Wierman.

Survivors include his significant other: Candace Chandler, daughters: Tricia (Chris) Cravens of Monticello, Trina (Gary Jones) Wierman and Mona (Brian) Poling both of Atwood, grandchildren: Tara Juzeszyn, Ben Cravens, Tyler Cravens, Bryant, Kimi and Michael Poling, great-grandchildren: Avery Juzeszyn and Bryce Poling, brothers: Ramie (Kathy) Wierman, Kim (Stephanie) Wierman and Kyle (Lisa) Wierman all of Atwood, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rick was a retired laborer and business agent for Local #573. He was a member of the Atwood Masonic Lodge #651, AF & AM for 48 years. He was also a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge, Mattoon Eagles Club and Sons of the American Legion. Rick was an animal lover and he enjoyed gardening.
