Richard R. "Ric" Jones, 62, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 5:05 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center, Mattoon, IL following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2017 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL, with Rev. Kenneth Roedder officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home

Ric was born on March 16, 1955 in Tuscola, IL, the son of Richard and Edith Evelyn Prosser Jones. He married RoseMary Hanners. She survives.

Also surviving is his father: Richard Jones of Tuscola, brothers: Mike Jones of Tuscola, Tony Jones of Hammond, Fred Jones of Jackson, TN, Danny Jones of Tuscola and David Jones of Arcola, sister: Bonnie Connelly of Denver, CO.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Ric was a truck driver and enjoyed fishing. He served his country in the US Navy.
