Obituary
Rhonda Jane Stone, 59, of Arthur, died at 8:00 PM Monday, July 21, 2014 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Arthur United Methodist Church, 128 E. Illinois Street, with Rev. Leroy Allison officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Rhonda was born August 28, 1954 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Charles R. and Shirley Wood Stone, Sr.
Survivors include her mother, Shirley Stone of Arthur; brothers, Rick Stone of Dongola; Kevin and Roger Stone both of Michigan City, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Angela; father; grandparents; and niece, Rachael.
Rhonda graduated from Arthur High School Class of 1972. She served in the U.S. Army for 3 ½ years and the Air Force Reserves for 4 ½ years in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and lived in Colorado for 21 years. She recently worked as a computer operator at Carle Hospital.
Rhonda loved to ski, traveled throughout Europe, jumped out of planes, rode Harleys, and especially loved her nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
