Raymond A. Shoemaker, 78, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 2:40 a.m. October 11, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St, Tuscola, IL with Rev. Kenneth Roedder officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL.

Mr. Shoemaker was born August 11, 1932 in Lafayette, IN the son of Harry and Dorothy Shoemaker. He married Karolyn Kay Kincaid June 13, 1954 in Attica, IN. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2003.

Survivors include 2 Sons: Alan (Marci) Shoemaker of Tuscola, IL; Steve (Betty) Shoemaker of Rantoul, IL; 3 Daughters: Dona (Dan) Eisenhauer of Brighton, CO; Jackie (Leon) Lammert of St. Louis, MO; and Jenny Jordan of Thomasboro, IL; 1 Brother: Albert Shoemaker of Lafayette, IN; 3 Sisters: Carol (Richard) Koon of Lafayette, IN; Wanda Adkins of Lafayette, IN and Jane Peden of Lafayette, IN; 13 Grandchildren and 13 Geat-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Brother: Carl "Bud" Shoemaker, Sister: Mickey Peden and Twin Daughters: Susan and Sally Shoemaker.

Raymond was a member of the Tuscola Moose. He retired after 30 years as a sales representative for Vulcan Materials Company.
